With the continued growth of the Universities there has been an increasing demand for student accommodation in Leicester. This project saw the conversion of the Crown, Elfed Thomas and Old School buildings.

A design and build contract, Farrow Walsh advised on the demolition of the existing modular De Montfort University structures including coordination of the archaeological requirements and intrusive ground investigation plus the disposal of asbestos. The tight city centre location and close proximity of existing structures posed considerable constraints all of which had to be considered when considering methodology with this project.
