Helicentre Flying High with Farrow Walsh

A new Helicentre has opened at Leicester Airport with the assistance of Farrow Walsh.

The Airport has a long history and was originally used by the RAF in WWII. The Aero Club manages the Airport with part of the site operating as a Helicentre run by Helicentre Aviation.

The project to design and build a storage hangar and combined office structure posed its own problems being in the middle of an existing airfield with no access to drainage and sewage facilities.

Farrow Walsh designed earthworks solutions and independent drainage in order for this specialist teaching facility to be suitable for commercial use and accessible to the public.
